Who we are

An educational movement

CLIMB exists to reclaim the purpose of education and re-centre it around the development of thoughtful, capable and principled human beings. Built on the belief that school is not for everyone, CLIMB challenges outdated systems that occupy a third of a young person's life yet too often fail to ignite their purpose, agency or potential.

At a time when over half of our youth feel underserved — particularly during the defining secondary years — CLIMB responds with intention: creating space for young people to find their purpose, develop empathy, make meaningful choices, collaborate deeply and pursue excellence in small, supportive environments guided by experienced educators.

  • Tailor-made for home educators — we support you, the parent, as the person primarily responsible for your child's learning.
  • Character as the foundation of learning — not an afterthought.
  • GCSEs recognised — never the whole story: grades don't define success here.

What CLIMB stands for

The five pillars of CLIMB

Five letters. Five commitments. Every part of the week is built on them.

Character

Strong values, so young people become principled decision-makers who act with purpose, independence and social intelligence.

Linguistics

The ability to communicate with clarity, confidence and depth across spoken and written language.

Investigation

Curiosity and critical thinking through scientific enquiry — questioning, exploring and making sense of the world.

Mathematics

Logical reasoning and problem-solving skills to interpret, analyse and navigate real-world challenges.

Balance

Success redefined through holistic learning that nurtures mind, body, heart and soul — clarity, wellbeing and purpose.

Why families choose us

This is education, not schooling

Four commitments that make CLIMB different from a conventional classroom.

01

Education not Schooling

Home education is a parent's right — and school isn't for everyone. You are the primary person responsible for your child's learning; CLIMB is here to support you both with a nurturing, family-oriented environment where young people thrive academically, socially and personally.

02

Redefine Success

We do what is right, not what is popular or easy — and that may lead to difficult conversations. We believe in depth, not width. Our holistic curriculum focuses on the process, and we believe the results will follow.

03

Quality of Learning

High-quality teaching from professional, dedicated staff — with a consistent standard of meaningful, engaging learning in every session, and pastoral support woven through the week.

04

Enrichment

Hands-on scientific projects, engaging drama, financial literacy, career and business guidance, and rich reading opportunities — equipping youngsters with skills for future success, well beyond the exam hall.

The five-year journey

Every summit is earned

Five years, five mountains. Two years of project-based learning in small Pods, then three years focused on the GCSE curriculum — 6 GCSEs in total, alongside trips, residentials and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award from Bronze to Gold.

A track record to trust

Character first. Results follow.

We refuse to let grades define success — and our GCSE results speak for themselves, three years running.
